Import and export project JSON

A JSON backup preserves editable project inputs; it is different from a flat SVG or printable PDF.

Download the parameter record

Choose Download project JSON from the active project or project recovery action. Keep the file in a location you can identify later. The file contains a format identifier, schema version, structure ID, numeric parameters and supported project settings.

A browser download starts a save operation; the website cannot prove that you selected a permanent folder or that a later device cleanup will retain it. Keep a second copy if the project matters.

Import a supported file

Use Import JSON in My projects and select the file. The application checks the format and version, structure, units, required fields and geometry constraints before applying it. Imported natural-language names are treated as text, not executable HTML.

The same validation used for normal dimensions also applies to imported parameters. A syntactically valid JSON object can still contain an unsupported structure or impossible tab relationship.

Keep current work on failure

Damaged JSON, missing or unexpected protocol fields, future versions and overlarge files are rejected with an error. A failed import does not overwrite the current workspace or existing saved projects.

Choose another supported file, retain the original for inspection and keep any working backup. Do not manually remove validation fields merely to make a file load. If you intend to share a backup, review its project name for personal information before sending it.
